“We are so so happy we booked Sarah Dawn Photography! I booked Sarah for a mini session to capture family photos this last week and I already have beautifully edited photos to enjoy!! I get annual professional family photos done, and I've worked with many photographers throughout the years. Let me break down how awesome of an experience it was to get photos taken by this gem of a photographer!
First, Sarah was the consummate professional... She is organized, has the booking process down pat, and responded quickly to emails and texts. Just lovely and pleasant, and caring. She went above and beyond to be helpful in scouting out locations to match my vision for photos in flower fields, and was kind and patient with all the planning and coordinating.
She cares about the client experience! I loved the short and thoughtful pre-photo questionnaire she sent that allows me as the client to share more about what I want out of the session and gives me the chance to share details and important info about my family so Sarah can be more prepared to deliver as best as she can a good experience. She sends a guide for helping to pick clothing and plan for the shoot, which was really insightful and helpful. I've never had a photographer do that. On the day of, she double-checked to confirm our timing and location, which is always nice to get such reminders. She was there before us, already testing light and camera settings.
Sarah is a legit good photographer! She directed us gently, suggested great photo poses, and caught candid shots that were perfectly us. She was open to our suggestions and went with the flow when my five-year-old was being well, a five-year-old. :) she is great with kids, fussy grown-ups, and even dogs. She made everyone feel comfortable and was open to capturing moments that just came to be. She didn't skip a beat getting the best shots from the ground up, trudging through weeds and crazy tall flower fields. It seemed she genuinely loves her job and connecting with her clients. We had a great time.
Her photos are breathtaking. Most importantly, the work product Sarah creates...her photos... are so good. She clearly knows her stuff when it comes to lighting and creating a shot. Beautiful composition, captivating colors, and such a good eye for catching emotion and energy of the moment. We have so many photos we loved, it will be so hard to choose which to print.
Lastly, Sarah's pricing is so reasonable. Like, book her now before she rightfully raises her pricing. :)

“I loved getting my pictures taken by Sarah! My boyfriend and I were moving out of Sacramento and I wanted to take some really nice pics before we left. I had some ideas on locations and she honored those requests but I was open to any other ideas she had. She took us to a location where MY FAVORITE PICS were taken.
